The IGESA center
Housing
The school will be held at the IGeSA center on the l’île de Porquerolles in the region of Hyères. The IGeSA center is located in the village of Porquerolles, a 20-minute walk from the port (see map). It belongs to the French armed forces as a place for vacation and meetings.
Please, print out the map so that you can find your way around.
Accommodation
All participants will be accommodated at the IGeSA. The organization has reserved a limited number of rooms on the campus. Note that single rooms will be attributed to invited speakers and senior researchers (CNRS, university, CEA, etc.) in priority. Young researchers (PhD students and post-docs) have to share a room.
Meals
Breakfast will be served in a buffet-style from 07h15 to 09h15. Lunch (buffet) is from 12h30 to 14h00, dinner (buffet) from 19h30 (last entrance: 20h15). Mineral water and wine are served at lunch and dinner time whereas coffee is available after lunch. Additional beverages are at the participants' own expense. Non-resident conferees are expected to have lunch and dinner with resident conferees.
Internet access
There is no access to the Internet (Wireless LAN) in the rooms, in the lecture room and on the entire site, despite a small confined area at the reception. If you need Wireless LAN Internet access, a solution is to go to the 'city center' and to obtain Internet, e.g., in a restaurant, cafe or a bar.
